A number semesters ago management was mandated by our faculty adviser to produce an advertising department and sell 30 second commercial  spots to parties interested in reaching the demographics offered by the  Long Beach City College listener-base.  Radio stations always have an  advertising or underwriting component and so KCTY would have one too.   (GM was tired of selling fundraising hot dogs, is the real reason).  It  was found that our greatest fund raising resource was under our nose.  KCTY wishes to extend our grateful appreciation for the sponsors who  believe in the dream.
